Dear Amica:
When my father graduated from Colgate University in 1927 he and three fraternity brothers decided to DRIVE to California from New York State. They figured this was the last time they would be able to take three months to travel before settling down and starting their careers.
So he bought a Model A Ford, which actually had a device for a tent to be attached to the roof, and they had the trip of a lifetime, going through 3 dozen tires (since Route 66 was a dirt road at that time).
Of course he insured this vehicle with Factory Mutual (the predecessor of AMICA) and kept on doing business with them after settling into a 40 year career with the phone company. Of course when my brother and I started to drive we were insured through AMICA as were our kids.
We currently have home owners, auto, trailer and umbrella insurance through AMICA and have had excellent service whenever we have needed them. So 83 years of customer loyalty...does that break any records???
